Challenge

The client faced challenges in real-time monitoring of employee attendance, a high administrative effort to process paper attendance, chances of manual errors, and difficulties in preventing time theft and buddy punching, leading to late payrolls.

Solution

Ways and Means Technology provided the client with an AI-powered face recognition solution called SAFR (Secure Accurate Facial Recognition). This solution uses computer vision and machine learning algorithms to track employee attendance and eliminate the challenges faced by the client. SAFR uses face recognition technology that scans a person's face "in the wild" and compares it with images in the database to make predictions and mark attendance.

The system works by installing cameras at the door, which detect the face and compares it with the images in the database. If the detected face matches with the image in the database, the attendance is marked, and the door is opened. This system also tracks the total time spent in the office and provides data for the payroll system, making it easier for the admin to calculate salaries and prepare attendance reports.

Results

The implementation of the AI/ML-based attendance management system provided the client with several benefits, including easy tracking of employees, quick and efficient verification of employees, increased accuracy, and integration with existing security infrastructures.
